Welcome to MegalodonJaws.com!
The megalodon was the largest predatory shark to ever swim the world's oceans and possibly the largest predator of all time. This massive shark probably reached at least 60-65 feet (18-19m) in length with a weight of possibly 50 tons or more.
So you're talking about a shark with more than 40 TIMES the mass of the largest predatory shark alive today!! The megalodon hasn't been around for the past 3.5 million years but the facts and myths surrounding this monster will live on forever.
Spanning the course of four decades (90's-20's) our team has been at the forefront of fossil megalodon tooth sales and has supplied many of the world's finest specimens. We are dedicated divers ourselves and also have a team of suppliers out diving most days to supply this site with these amazing fossils. We find, process, and clean these ourselves so we have intimate first-hand knowledge of every single specimen we sell. Having served tens of thousands of satisfied customers we want you to feel confident in your decision to buy from us.
We ONLY sell fossilized megalodon teeth on this site. These are all millions of years old and are recovered from ancient fossil deposits mainly in the Southeastern United States.
Of course this is a business but it's also much more than that. When these amazing fossils erode out of the clay that's been their home for millions of years they are subjected to conditions that will begin to deteriorate them. Megs are often found in areas of strong water current and sand. Over time this continuous water action wears off the serrated edges. Oysters and barnacles attach themselves to the enamel and often damage the fossils. Give it enough time and there's nothing left of them beyond a rock on the bottom. By collecting/buying these awe-inspiring fossils we are all doing our part to save them from being destroyed and lost forever! Once out of the water and cleaned these fossils are literally rock-solid, are in no danger of further deterioration, and will provide a lifetime display that can be passed down to future generations.
All megs sold come with an authenticity guarantee, geological data on that specimen (age, location found, geological formation), and a small acrylic stand for display (although we recommend one of our premium wood stands for the ultimate fossil display). Thank you for stopping by and trusting us with your fossil megalodon needs and we looking forward to dealing with you.
